A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search box is submitted to the provider that supplies those results. Bend Residents Directory does not save a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we use the information in the message only to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
The host retains normal server-log information such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and viewed pages. We review aggregated activity to operate and improve the service. Cookies or related tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
What We Do With This Data
We use the limited information to run the service, diagnose faults, measure traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual reader profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Other disclosure occurs only when valid legal process requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete data a website holds. Oregon’s Consumer Privacy Act is ORS 646A.570 et seq. Because we retain little, a request usually means checking our contact mailbox and server logs, then removing applicable information. Use the Contact page to ask. Oregon, Deschutes County, and City of Bend public records are controlled by their custodians, not by this site.
